TV host Oprah Winfrey has received an honorary doctorate degree in education from a university in Africa.
The beloved media mogul, who donned the traditional cap and gown for the ceremony, jetted to South Africa to accept the accolade at the University of the Free State.
Addressing the nearly 4,000 audience members she said, "What has happened here at Free State in terms of racial reconciliation, of peace, of harmony, of one heart understanding and opening itself to another heart is nothing short of a miracle. It is truly what the new South Africa is all about."
Winfrey is an education saviour in South Africa - in 2007 she opened an all-girls school there.
