Jazz pianist Oscar Peterson's widow has filed a lawsuit against his former collaborator over lost tracks she offered to an Internet radio site.

Kelly Peterson has accused rising singer Hilary Kole, who was the last person to record with the Grammy winner, of providing four of the pair's never-before-heard tracks to an Internet radio programme.

Peterson filed legal papers in New York earlier this week (04Feb13), seeking $1 million (£625,000) in damages for copyright infringement, according to the New York Daily News. Kelly has also requested the return of the songs.

Oscar Peterson passed away of kidney failure in 2007. The recordings feature him playing on American standards, such as Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered and More Than You Know.
