Outkast - Outkast Star Busted For Drugs On 'Love Boat'
Outkast founding member Antwan Patton, aka, Big Boi, has been released from prison following his arrest for drug possession. The rapper and producer was arrested at Miami port on Saturday (6th August 2011) after he returned from a boating holiday in the Caribbean, reports the MTV News.
Big Boi has been tweeting about his travels for the past week, telling followers, "Playcation Chillaxin ! (@ Puerto Rico Port)", and later, "The energy from the Ocean is proving to be great for writing.They playing Mini Golf on the upper deck". However, the Outkast star was reportedly caught with drugs including ecstasy, Mdma and Viagra, as well as drug paraphernalia. The Miami-Cade county police website confirms Antwan Patton was booked at 1.25pm on Saturday and charged with possession of three controlled substances. His bail was set at $16,000 but he has since been released. The rapper's attorney Daniel Kane told CNN, "While Big Boi was travelling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage ... When the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated".
Following his release, Big Boi tweeted, "Fresh Out Baby!", before adding, "Shiiiiit they said it was the Love Boat".
