Paris Hilton thought she would be married by now.

The 30-year-old heiress - who split from ex-boyfriend Cy Waits two weeks ago, and has since been linked to 'The Hangover: Part II' director Todd Phillips - had always envisaged being a mother by the time she reached her thirties.

She said: "When I was a little girl, I always imagined I'd be married with kids by now. It's not where I thought I'd be. I'm 30, and I'm by myself."

After parting ways with Cy last month after 18 months of dating, Paris admitted she decided to call time on their relationship after seeing their romance from an "outside perspective" on her 'The World According To Paris' reality show.

She explained: "By watching the show, I got an outside perspective of our relationship. I knew that yes, I love him and he's one of my best friends, but I needed to make sure he was the one. When I knew I wasn't certain, I knew I had to end it."

While the blonde beauty is now hoping to be "married and pregnant" within the next two to five years, she acknowledges she needs to work on her "trust issues".

Paris added to Life & Style magazine: "I want to be married and pregnant in two to five years. But first I have to work through my trust issues."
