Sir Paul McCartney's latest music video featuring Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman signing the lyrics is littered with mistakes.

The Beatles legend asked the Hollywood stars to appear in the promo for new single 'My Valentine' but deaf music fans are claiming they have used the wrong gestures to illustrate certain words.

Oscar-winning actress Natalie made the first mistake, signing the word 'tampon' instead of 'appear', while Johnny signed 'enemy', which was meant to be 'Valentine'.

Comments highlighting the Errors have been posted alongside the video on YouTube, but the British Deaf Association are still impressed with the clip.

A spokesman for them said: ''It's great that famous people such as Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman are highlighting the use of sign language. Their use of it is more a poetic expression.

''The sign for tampon does seem to come up from both Johnny and Natalie, which causes some confusion, especially as American and British sign languages are different. It would have been nice if genuine deaf people had been used. But it's still great.''

McCartney premiered the video at a screening in Los Angeles last week and stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani, Miranda Kerr and Reese Witherspoon all turned up.
