Paul Weller wants to collaborate with Damon Albarn.

The 'That Dangerous Age' singer is a big fan of the Blur singer and after hearing his latest work - an opera, 'Dr Dee' - he is eyeing up a collaboration.

Paul told the Daily Star newspaper: ''I'm still going out and buying records, but nothing's blown me away - although I though Dr Dee was fantastic. I'd love to work with Damon.

''I'm up for working with anyone if they've got something creative going on.''

The singer - dubbed the Modfather - is also friends with indie singer Miles Kane and has been co-writing songs for the 26-year-old's second album.

Paul added: ''Miles' new record sounds great. He's got some great tunes that boy. So has Michael Kiwanuka - the kid has a lovely voice.''

The 54-year-old singer is playing at London's iconic 100 Club tonight (01.08.12) as part of the Converse Represent series of shows, but is reluctant to do any more British festivals after headlining at Latitude in July, as he hates the English weather.

He said: ''I don't do many festivals if I can help it. The weather is always terrible.''
