Phil Spector is releasing a new album.

The legendary producer - who is currently in prison serving a minimum 19-year sentence for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson - has masterminded the debut album of his wife Rachelle, 'Out of My Chelle', which will be released on June 8.

In a statement, Spector said: "She's fantastic on this album."

The 70-year-old music guru - who married Rochelle, 29, in 2006 - worked on the tracks for around two years between his murder mistrial which ended in 2007 and the second trial which resulted in a conviction for second-degree murder in April 2009.

The last full album Spector produced was 'End of the Century' by The Ramones which was released in 1980, although he did work with British band Starsailor on their 2003 LP 'Silence Is Easy' but was fired due to creative and personal differences.

Two Spector-helmed tracks 'Silence Is Easy' and 'White Dove' did appear on the final album tracklisting.
