Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has completed 10 days of treatment to kick a drug habit, according to a U.S. report.

The Capote star has battled addiction issues in the past, but relapsed in 2012 after more than 20 years sober, so he spent nearly two weeks at a detox facility on America's East Coast to deal with his problems, according to Tmz.com.

The actor is said to have checked out of the facility last week (ends26May13) and is now back at work filming a movie.

Hoffman tells the website he is now healthy again and credits a "great group of friends and family" for helping him seek the treatment he needed.
