Latin musician Eddie Palmieri, pianist Mose Allison and saxophonist Lou Donaldson are set to be honoured with America's prestigious Jazz Masters Award.
Officials from the National Endowment for the Arts named the trio among the four recipients of the 2013 prize on Wednesday (18Jul12), with New York's Village Vanguard jazz club owner Lorraine Gordon earning the fourth accolade.
The 2013 winners will be feted at a ceremony in January (13), when they will each be gifted with $25,000 (£15,625) fellowships.
