Botanists at Duke University in North Carolina have named 19 new species of fern after Lady GaGa.
The plant experts, led by Professor Kathleen Pryer, insist there was only one celebrity in consideration for the odd honour.
Professor Pryer explains the team named the ferns after the Paparazzi singer because "of her fervent defense of equality and individual expression."
There's also an academic reason behind the naming of the rare plants - a graduate student discovered the letters 'Gaga' appear in the plant's DNA sequence.
