Beyonce is refusing to take time off from work ahead of the birth of her first child because she doesn't want to treat her pregnancy "like an illness".
The singer is expecting her first child with rapper husband Jay Z and she announced her happy news by unveiling her baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards in August (11).
Beyonce has continued working as she promotes her clothing line and her latest fragrance and insists she has no plans to rest up.
She tells the Associated Press, "When you are excited about something, you don't have to think about your energy. It is natural and comes from adrenaline. It is important that I don't look at this as like an illness. I am not sick. I am the same woman and I have the same passions."
