Singer Prince has been hit with a $700,000 (£467,000) lawsuit over allegedly unpaid legal fees.
Attorneys at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler filed suit against the Purple Rain hitmaker at Manhattan's Supreme Court on Tuesday (01Mar11), accusing him of failing to pay for their handling of cases in Ireland, California and New York.
Lawyers at the New York City firm also claim they were not compensated for representing Prince in his divorce from Manuela Testolini in 2006.
The star, real name Prince Rogers Nelson, has allegedly paid $125,000 (£83,000) but still owes $700,000 in fees for legal services, according to the lawsuit.
