British royals PRINCES WILLIAM and HARRY have persuaded pop star Joss Stone to sing at concert to aid soldiers injured in the Iraq war.
The young princes befriended the soul singer last year (07) when she performed at a charity gig in memory of their late mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
Now they have asked Stone to headline a fundraising gala to benefit servicemen and women who have been wounded in the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict.
And Stone has agreed to participate in the concert, because she is sickened by the way injured soldiers have been treated by the British government upon their return home.
She says, "I think the way the government treats our soldiers is really f**ked up.
"They can go to war, but if they get their leg blown off they come back and are delaying with the NHS (National Health Service). They should have a right to private treatment paid for by the government.
"I'm doing it (the concert) because I support the cause and because they (William and Harry) are good friends."
The City Salute gala will take place later this year (08) and funds will go to the City Salute Appeal.
