Veteran film producer Robert E. Relyea has died at the age of 82.
The moviemaker passed away on Tuesday (05Mar13), according to Deadline.com. No further information about his death was available as Wenn went to press.
Relyea began his career as a crew member for the Mgm film company in 1955 and went on to work on movies including Oklahoma! and Elvis Presley's 1957 musical drama Jailhouse Rock.
He had a longtime professional relationship with Steve MCQueen, and served as assistant director on Never So Few and The Magnificent Seven, as well as producer on iconic 1963 film The Great Escape and Bullitt.
Relyea also worked as an independent producer during his career.
