Actor Hugh Jackman is set for a Broadway return as legendary illusionist Harry Houdini.
The X-Men star wrapped his one-man show, Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway, on Sunday (01Jan12) after setting new box office records at the Broadhurst Theatre with a bumper $2 million (Gbp1.25 million) final week haul.
And it appears Jackman's recent success has caught the attention of top producers because the actor has been tapped to bring the late magician back to life in a new musical, beginning next year (13).
Social Network star Aaron Sorkin has been recruited to write the story and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz, of Wicked fame, will compose the music, according to the Associated Press.
