The organisers of dance music festival the Electric Daisy Carnival have pledged to continue with the event, despite another death tragedy.
Two revellers who attended the rave spectacular in Las Vegas earlier this month (Jun12) were killed in incidents immediately following the festival - one man was hit by a truck and killed as he left the event on 11 June (12) and a 27-year-old student fell to her death from the 27th floor of her hotel hours later.
The deceased were either drunk or high on ecstasy, according to reports - but Insomniac promoters, who staged the carnival, insist they cannot be held responsible for the tragedies.
A statement from festival bosses reads: "We are deeply saddened by the two tragedies that occurred last week in Las Vegas outside Electric Daisy Carnival. The two tragedies occurred beyond the festival's walls as well as beyond Insomniac's control and these incidents will not threaten the future of Edc in Las Vegas."
It's not the first time the Electric Daisy Carnival has been marred by deaths - a 15-year-old girl died from a drug overdose at a 2010 event in Los Angeles, and a teenager died at a Dallas, Texas festival last year (11).
