Q Award Nomination For Glasvegas

Glaswegian rockers Glasvegas receive a nomination in the 2008 Q Awards for 'Best New Act'.
The break through pop punk band are in contention with other great new comers The Ting Tings, Fleet Foxes, The Last Shadow Puppets and Vampire Weekend.
Last years Breakthrough Artist award was won by James Blunt, Amy Winehouse took the best album award for BACK TO BLACK in 2007 and Muse took the Best Live Act award for the second year running after also winning in 2006.
Sir Paul McCartney was named the 2007 Q Icon.
The notoriously star-strewn Q Awards 2008 ceremony will take place Monday, 6th October in London.
