Quentin Tarantino - Quentin Tarantino eyeing up Johnny Depp collaboration
Quentin Tarantino is planning the perfect part for Johnny Depp and thinks it would be ''magical'' if the film heavyweights were to join forces.
The 'Django Unchained' director thinks it would be ''magical'' to team up with the 49-year-old actor, but the pair will only collaborate once Quentin has written the perfect part for him.
Speaking to chat show host Charlie Rose, the filmmaker revealed: ''We would love to work together. We've talked about it for years. Not that we get together and talk about it for years, but from time to time.
''We're obviously fans of each other. It just needs to be the right character. I just need to write the right character that I think Johnny would be the right guy to do it with. And if he agrees, then we'll do it. And then it'll be magical.''
Despite the gore-loving director's attempts to pen the right character for Johnny - who is famed for his eccentric on-screen alter egos - falling short so far, he hasn't given up hope he will ''someday'' join forces with the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star.
He teased: ''I haven't written the perfect character for Johnny Depp as of yet. Maybe someday I will, maybe someday I won't. We'll see.''
Quentin recently revealed plans for a new movie, tentatively titled 'Killer Crow', which could form a trilogy about people rising up against their oppressors alongside 'Inglourious Basterds' and his new western 'Django Unchained'.
