The Notebook star Rachel McAdams has been crowned the queen of romantic dramas again - her new movie The Vow has debuted at the top of the U.S. box office with a stunning $41.7 million (£29.4 million) opening weekend take.
All four major new movies - The Vow, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Safe House and Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace - all took in over $20 million (£12.5 million) to break box office records - but MCAdams' new movie came out on top.
Based on a true story, the actress plays a car crash victim who awakes from a coma with no recollection of her husband, played by Channing Tatum.
Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds' new thriller Safe House came in second with an impressive $39.3 million (£24.5 million) take.
