Provocative rap trio Das Racist have split after four years together.
The band - made up of Himanshu 'Heems' Suri, Victor Vazquez, aka Kool A.D., and Ashok 'Dapwell' Kondabolu - was due to perform at a music festival in Germany on Saturday (01Dec12), but Suri played a solo set instead.
He told the crowd at the On3 Festival in Munich of the split, stating, "I'm going to do some Das Racist songs, but Das Racist is breaking up and we're not a band anymore."
Vazquez subsequently confirmed the news in a post on his Twitter.com page, writing, "For the record I quit Das Racist 2 months ago and was asked by our manager not to announce it yet. Apparently (Suri) wanted to do it (German gig) tho (though)."
