Rapper B.G. has been sentenced to 14 years behind bars for possession of a firearm and conspiring to obstruct justice.
The hip-hop star, real name Christopher Dorsey, pleaded guilty to two counts of gun possession and one of witness tampering in December (11) stemming from his 2009 arrest in Louisiana, when police found three loaded firearms in his vehicle.
He was also hit with a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice after he tried to convince his associate, Demounde Pollard, to accept responsibility for the guns.
Sentencing him on Wednesday (18Jul12) in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan ordered Dorsey to serve 14 years in prison, and also recommended three years of supervised release once his jail term is over.
