T.I.'s associate MIKE BIGGA has spoken out over a lawsuit from a sound engineer who alleges he was beaten up at the rapper's studio - branding the accusations "100 per cent false".
The incarcerated hip-hop star, who is serving time for probation violation, was hit with a lawsuit on Monday (08Nov10) from Norris Gresham, an employee of T.I.'s Echo Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.
Gresham claims he was beaten and held hostage by a number of the star's associates in a dispute over a missing necklace back in September (10), alleging T.I. knew about the incident and failed to prevent it.
Rapper Mike Bigga, also known as Killer Mike, was among the men named in the lawsuit and he has now spoken out to protest his innocence.
He tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "These allegations are 100 per cent false... While I don’t want these false allegations to tarnish my legacy as a rapper, I’m far more concerned with the impact this will have on the youth I frequently mentor and counsel.
"I have worked endlessly as a youth advocate and community activist for people who hold the least amount of power - well before my career in rap. Everything I stand for is about being positive and productive, and I strongly believe in setting the right example for young people... (and) to promote a positive platform with youth and to discourage negativity and violence.”
Jonathan 'Spodee' Carle, who was accused of involvement in the alleged attack was arrested in October (10) and later released on $25,000 (£16,667) bail.
