Aspiring rapper Nas-D has been killed in a fire at his home in Columbus, Ohio.
The 32-year-old, whose real name was Nasir Ahmad Dooley, was unable to escape the blaze which started in the kitchen in his apartment in the early hours of Saturday morning (28Mar09).
Firefighters pulled him from the fire and he was taken to hospital, but had suffered second and third-degree burns over 97 per cent of his body and died at Ohio State University Medical Center later that day.
According to the Columbus Dispatch Dooley is survived by two children, Nasir Jr and Naja MaKayla.
