British rapper Dizzee Rascal is convinced he will pick up the coveted Mercury Prize for a second time when the winner is announced later this year (10) - insisting organisers should rename the trophy 'The Dizzee Award'.
The Bonkers hitmaker won the prestigious honour for his debut album Boy In Da Corner in 2003 and he also received a nomination in 2007 for Maths + English, missing out to the Klaxons for their record Myths of the Near Future.
Rascal made the shortlist again on Tuesday (20Jul10) when his hit disc Tongue N' Cheek was named as one of the 2010 nominees.
He's set to battle artists including Paul Weller, Corinne Bailey Rae and Laura Marling for the prize, but Rascal is sure he'll walk away the winner.
He tells Britain's Daily Star, "The Dizzee Award, that's what they should call it, why not? I'm going to win it this time. I feel like it's my time again. It would be nice for this album to get it. It's my first independent release on (label) Dirtee Stank and my first platinum album. It's a lot more upbeat and singable. It's a happier record. I love playing it live."
