Ratings Plummet For Season/series Finales
For the most part, season and series finales aren't the big deal that they once were. That certainly seemed to be the case on Monday. On CBS the series final of Rules of Engagement and the season finale of Hawaii Five-0 were each down double digits from last year. On ABC, the performance finale of Dancing with the Stars was also down substantially from a year ago. ABC and Fox debuted two new shows Monday night but had nothing to cheer about. The new Fox comedy The Goodwin Games attracted just 1.75 million viewers and a tiny 0.7 rating/2 share among the 18-49 age group. ABC's Canadian-produced drama Motive did somewhat better with 6.83 million viewers, but it followed Dancing with the Stars, which counted 14.73 million.
