Former X Factor contestant Ray Quinn has won the fourth series of ITV1's Dancing On Ice.

The 20-year-old singer performed a flawless dance to Ravel's Bolero to clinch the most recent series of the talent contest.

Jessica Taylor, 28, had shed tears after finishing in third place after receiving the fewest amount of public votes.

And though 42-year-old journalist Donal MacIntyre impressed the judging panel with his interpretation of the Bolero, it was Quinn who was named the series champion.

"I have been dreaming of this moment since the beginning. I'm so proud," he said after his win.

Quinn, who finished second in the 2006 series of The X Factor, had received two perfect scores of 30 in the final and had been the bookies' favourite to win the series.

Judge Robin Cousins told Quinn that he and dance partner Maria Filippov had 'captured' the Love Story of the Bolero, which famously clinched Olympic gold for Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean in 1984.
