Reggae icon Winston Riley lost his life on Sunday (22Jan12) two months after he was shot multiple times during a raid on his home in Kingston, Jamaica.
The producer fell into a coma after the attack and he never regained consciousness.
Riley was shot in August (11) and stabbed in September (11). Local police were trying to link the incidents when he was gunned down in his home.
Riley founded vocal group the Techniques and enjoyed chart success with hits like Queen Majesty in the late 1960s.
He quit the band to start the Techniques record label.
