Reggae star Frederick 'toots' Hibbert is nursing a cut to his head after he was hit in the face with a bottle during a concert in Virginia.
The Toots and the Maytals singer was performing with his band at the Dominion Riverrock festival in Richmond on Saturday night (18May13) when one audience member hurled the missile at the stage, striking the 67 year old in the head.
The group to cut short its set so Hibbert could receive medical attention at a local hospital, where he was treated and subsequently released.
Police have since arrested and charged a 19-year-old man with aggravated assault in connection to the incident.
