A concert featuring California punk icons TSOL became a real-life riot in Hollywood on Thursday night (06Jan10) when fans clashed with security guards at the fabled Key Club.
More than 100 police officers were called to the Sunset Strip after violence erupted following the arrest of two fans, who took on bouncers when they were denied entrance to the venue.
Reports suggest as many as 60 punk rockers began throwing rocks and bottles at L.A. County sheriff's deputies.
The concert was stopped as the riot police arrived and tried to calm the situation and clear the streets.
No police officers were injured but at least one of the concertgoers was transported to hospital following the melee, which lasted an estimated 30 minutes.
Six people were taken into custody.
