British pop star Robbie Williams sealed his comeback by performing a huge solo show in London on Thursday night (22Nov12).

The singer has revived his solo career this year (12) after a reunion with his Take That bandmates, scoring a U.K. number one hit with his new album Take The Crown.

He hasn't played any big arena shows on his own in six years, but he returned to the stage on Thursday to play for 20,000 fans at the first of three concerts at the O2 Arena.

Williams, who performed several small warm-up shows to prepare for his big stage comeback, played to a star-studded crowd, which included new-mother Adele, and treated fans to hits including Millennium, Rock Dj and Angels. He dedicated the ballad to his baby daughter Theodora, saying, "She's a corker; I love being a dad."

He also performed with his former songwriting partner Guy Chambers, who he famously fell out with in the 1990s, on She's The One, with the producer playing piano.

During the gig, Williams also poked fun at his Take That bandmate and collaborator Gary Barlow after he received an Order of the British Empire (Obe) medal from British monarch Queen Elizabeth Ii this week (beg19Nov12).

He joked, "(The Queen) hasn't got a frigging clue who I am... Gary Barlow Obe. Robbie Williams Nothing. Must have been an oversight."

Williams plays at the O2 Arena again on Friday (23Nov12) and Saturday (24Nov12).
