Robbie Williams regrets not making any sex tapes.

The 'Candy' singer - who is expecting his first child with wife Ayda Field - tried to shoot some X-rated footage when he was younger but the camera didn't work and he now wishes he had a video record of his sexual escapades.

He told GQ magazine: ''I haven't made a sex tape. I think I was videoed once but it didn't work. But it had been set up.

''I was obviously glad it didn't work because it involved copious amounts of cocaine and playing snooker with a rope.

''Right now, being married for so long, if I could go back in time I'd have done a couple of sex tapes I think.''

Robbie, 38, also admitted falling in love with actress Ayda has stopped him worrying about what other people think of him because she has made him realise he is a ''good person''.

He said: ''There's so much positive stuff going on with the two of us, she's really kind and positive and attentive and wants the best for people and wants to help them.

''And once I'd seen that in her, it made me feel good that she wanted to be with me, which must mean that I'm actually good, so I was like, 'Well let's cultivate this.'

''I went all the way through my twenties thinking I was sentenced to a lifetime of mental imprisonment but I'm in a better place now.''
