Veteran actress Doris Roberts is urging female stars to stop flashing the flesh - because dressing provocatively onscreen can have a negative affect on impressionable youngsters.
The Everybody Loves Raymond star, 79, insists young girls look up to their idols in the TV and film industry and she fears they may try to emulate the style of many leading ladies.
And Roberts is adamant females in Hollywood need to be careful about showing too much skin.
She tells Fox News, "I'm not a prude. I really am not. But if you're going to dress provocatively, you're going to get into trouble. Kids, right now, 12 year olds, 11 year olds, they're dressing and trying to emulate what they see on television or in movies. When you do that, you're judged, and even if you're not selling that, it appears like you are. That is not very good.
"I don't know if I would go as far to say that it's just Hollywood, it's advertising, it's everywhere, it's everything. It's sort of in the fabric, unfortunately, of our society."
