When you have had cancer as he had - the quality of life becomes very important. You have spent so much time and suffered so much to the treatments - you are torn mightily about ever doing it again. Tests are somewhat dreaded but relieving when done. He saw the earthquake as an emergency and it couldn't wait. And how would he have known that 2 weeks or so would have made that much difference. Of course his wife knows you should stop and take the tests wants it done. But to you, it seems like just more doctor stuff that has occupied enough already. There is the quality of life; the things you want to do.This is a reminder to me to go get mine done. I am sorry he suffered - we need CURES!!
