The Hollywood publicist who represented Rock Hudson during the movie great's Aids battle almost 30 years ago has died.
Dale Olson lost his battle with cancer on Thursday (09Aug12). He was 78.
Olson was head of the motion picture division of public relations firm Rogers & Cowan for 18 years before he resigned in 1985.
Prior to his career as a publicist, he worked as a reporter and reviewer for Daily Variety and founded the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.
As well as Hudson, Olson represented Marilyn Monroe, Clint Eastwood, Steve MCQueen and Laurence Olivier, among others.
He was awarded the Actors Fund Medal of Honor last month (Jul12).
