Rocker ERIK ROGERS has apologised for offending fans of his defunct band STEREOMUD after planning to use the group's name without his former bandmates.
The singer infuriated fans of the group by announcing plans to utilise the Stereomud moniker for his new project with guitarist Billy Grey and drummer Rodney Beaubouef.
And Rogers has now decided to ditch the idea of using the band's name, according to Blabbermouth.net.
A statement from the star reads, "A lot has come up over the last few weeks, and as a result of it we will be moving forward as Dangerous New MAChine.
"The idea of coming back out as Steromud was never meant to offend the Stereomud fans or the former members, but it has, and for that I'm sorry!! Now it's all about New Music.
"Thank you, to all of you who have supported me over the years, and thank you for your continued support. This is our journey, and we are honored to have you along for the ride...I wish everyone I've ever had the pleasure of playing with all the luck in the world on their new ventures and who knows?! Maybe we will all hit the same stage again some day."
