Property from the English country home RONNIE WOOD shared with his now ex-wife Jo is to be auctioned off in Beverly Hills next month (Oct12).

Julien's Auctions staff will drop the gavel on fine art, antiques, music memorabilia and personal items on 27 October (12).

Highlights of the sale include Rolling Stones star Wood's Fender Stratocaster guitar, his stage clothing, guitar picks, backstage passes and a handwritten note from Mick Jagger.

There are also pieces of the guitarist's art, including portraits of Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, and Bob Dylan, going under the hammer.

The Wood collection includes fine antiques, furniture and decorative art from Holmwood, the magnificent Surrey, England countryside estate Ronnie and Jo Wood shared during their marriage.

The auction comes ahead of the launch of Jo Wood’s autobiography. Her memoirs, which will be released next February (13), will reveal her tales as a wife of a Rolling Stone.

A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit MusiCares, a nonprofit organisation of The Recording Academy that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need.

Julien's Auctions boss Darren Julien tells WENN Jo Wood chose to use his company to sell off the collection in Beverly Hills after initially offering the items to London auction houses.

He says, "We offered to recreate the Woods' London home in our gallery and so she packed everything up in an ocean container and it took three months to get to us."
