Rufus Wainwright - Rufus Wainwright Tries Synchronised Swimming
Singer Rufus Wainwright tried out synchronised swimming at a charity event in California over the weekend (06-07Oct12).
The star performed at Hearst Castle, a landmark building close to the city of San Simeon, during a gala to raise money for the estate, which was designed for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in 1919 and donated to the state of California after his death in the 1950s.
A synchronised swimming group called The Unsinkables also performed at the event and after they had finished, guests were invited to join them in the pool to try out some moves.
Wainwright and his husband Jorn Weisbrodt were among the first to dive in and test out their synchronised swimming skills.
Event organiser Jay MCInerney tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "After the synchronised swimmers performed, a few of the guests got in the pool and had a go. Rufus was certainly the most graceful. He's got a lot of good moves."
