Rumer Willis is "baffled" by women wearing high heels.

The 'House Bunny' star admits she prefers to wear practical footwear in the daytime and is amazed when she sees people going about their everyday lives in stilettos.

She said: "When I see women walking around L.A. in heels I just wonder how they can do it. I'm baffled."

Rumer has previously admitted to borrowing clothes from her mother Demi Moore but is upset that she can't swap shoes with her famous mom.

She told People: "She's a size-and-a-half smaller than me in shoes, so I can't wear any of them. It's kind of a bummer."

Rumer - whose dad is Demi's ex-husband Bruce Willis - is planning her wardrobe for the winter months for when she is spending time in New York.

She explained to People magazine: "A cashmere sweater, definitely a good pair of boots and maybe some looser jeans.

"I can't do the tight jeans in winter because you have to put long johns underneath them and it never works. But that's only if you're in a winter state. California ... not so much."

The actress also admitted she changes her style when she is in New York rather than California.

She noted: "You almost become this very different person. I don't know what it is."
