Ryan Leslie - Ryan Leslie Ordered To Pay $1.2 Million In Laptop Case
Music producer Ryan Leslie has been ordered to hand over $1.2 million (Gbp750,000) to the man who found his laptop.
The R&B singer/producer was originally ordered to pay Armin Augstein $1 million (Gbp625,000) in November (12) after offering the massive sum as a reward for the safe return of his computer, which was discovered in Germany in 2010.
Last month (Dec12) Augstein filed new legal papers demanding an additional $180,000 (Gbp112,500) in interest to cover the two years he spent fighting to claim the funds, and now a court has ruled in his favour, according to the New York Post.
The Grammy-nominated star's lawyer, David DeStefano, plans to file an appeal, insisting Leslie only offered the huge payout in order to recover the lost songs on his external hard drive. These were never recovered.
