Amy Winehouse - Salaam Remi's Winehouse Love
Producer Salaam Remi is upset he never got to tell Amy Winehouse he loved her before she died earlier this year.
Salaam Remi wishes he had been able to tell Amy Winehouse he loved her before she died.
The 'Back to Black' singer passed away suddenly from accidental alcohol poisoning in July and her long time producer is so upset he didn't get the chance to speak to her before she died, even though he was in London.
He said: "This just comes down to my life lessons this weekend, which was, if you love somebody, tell them now. I was in London and I didn't got to see her. I was waiting until Sunday and she passed on Saturday. Why didn't I go? I didn't even talk to her."
He added that his experience is one of the motivating factors behind him working on posthumous album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures', as he wanted to share as much of her unreleased music as possible with Amy's fans.
He said: "I feel the same way with the music and whatever stories and ideas I have regarding that I have at this point, which I want to share with the world.
"Because it makes no sense at this point me having these things in my hard drive. And her family not knowing. Why should I be sitting on it? Because what if something happened to me? That's lost forever because of what?"
