Arnold Schwarzenegger's divorce from his wife Maria Shriver now looks likely to go-ahead after the former Governor of California hired the well-known divorce lawyer Robert Kaufman. Arnold Schwarzenegger's attorney, who handled Jennifer Aniston's split from Brad Pitt, has already been in touch with his wife's legal team, reports Tmz.com.
Maria Shriver's legal representative Laura Wasser claims both camps are "moving forward" with proceedings to end the couple's 25-year marriage. As well as the high-profile Aniston-Pitt divorce, Kaufman has also negotiated marriage splits for Reese Witherspoon and the singer Jessica Simpson. Kaufman and Wasser have reportedly been head-to-head in court before, with both parties specialising in keeping highly publicised splits as low-profile as possible. Schwarzenegger and his wife announced their separation in May 2011, shortly before the Hollywood actor admitted to fathering a child with a member of his household staff. The divorce could prove to be a complex affair, given the substantial wealth of the family. The couple also have four children, 21-year-old Katherine, 19-year-old Christina, 17-year-old Patrick and 13-year-old Christopher.
Although reports are yet to be confirmed, Arnold Schwarzenegger allegedly fathered his 'fifth' child with 'Mildred Patricia Baena', a woman who worked for his family for 20 years before retiring in January 2011.
