Kelly Osbourne wants to play a Russian spy on the big screen.

The TV star is fascinated by the recent news about suspected Russian spy Anna Chapman - who has been charged by US authorities for spying for Russia in a "deep-cover" operation - and thinks it would be a great role for a film.

She told Closer magazine: "I am absolutely intrigued by the Russian spy story in the news at the moment.

"I love it! It's like a film! I bet someone's already planning to turn it in to a movie - I want to play the glamorous red-haired one, Anna Chapman, who everyone's talking about."

Kelly has wanted to make a permanent move into movies for some time and revealed in May she had been for an audition to make her celluloid dream come true.

The 25-year-old star - who has appeared in handful of films, including 'Live Freaky! Die Freaky!' - said: "I had an audition for a film role a couple of weeks ago - I can't say what it is yet - and I've just heard back that I'm still in the running!

"The audition was pretty scary - you turn up and there's a room full of people all going for the same role. It feels very competitive as everyone's checking each other out."
