Hip-hop star Jay Sean has finally ended the Black Eyed Peas' reign at the top of the U.S. pop charts after 26 weeks.
The group spent half a year at number one on the Billboard charts with two consecutive hits, Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, but Jay Sean will officially be crowned the new king of the Hot 100 on Thursday (10Oct09), according to chart experts.
His song Down moves up a spot to claim the number one. The track has sold 1.5 million downloads since its release.
