Guy Sebastian's wife was upset when Ronan Keating confirmed the couple's baby news, admitting she felt "a bit ripped off".
The Australian singer and his partner Jules Egan were keen to keep the news a secret and they refused to confirm or deny the rumours in September (11).
Just days later, Boyzone star Keating - who sits on Australia's The X Factor judging panel alongside Sebastian - told radio host Kyle Sandilands the speculation was true, declaring, "Guy told me a while ago."
Egan tells Australia's New Idea magazine, "(I felt) a bit ripped off. I was having my three-month scan that afternoon so if we'd just had one more day then we could have announced it ourselves.
"It's a big moment and we were more than happy to share it with the country, but we wanted to make sure everything was OK."
Sebastian adds, "(Keating) was gutted and felt awful. I told him it wasn't his fault - and it wasn't. He's one of my best friends and one of the most decent and generous blokes I've ever met."
The baby is due in March (12).
