Shakira wants to record songs in Arabic.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer - who has previously recorded albums in her native Spanish and English - wants to record tracks in the language, although she doesn't currently speak it.

She said: "It would be a challenge to do an album in Arabic, but I would first have to learn Arabic.

"I am completely open to that experience - at some point I would love that to happen in my life."

The Columbia born star added the only Arabic she knows is "ateeni boosa" which means "can I have a kiss" in the language, spoken across The Middle East.

Shakira played her first concert in Arabic speaking Morocco on Saturday (28.05.11), closing the Mawazine World Rhythms Festival.

The 'Underneath Your Clothes' star has also previously been approached by Bollywood film makers about starring in an Indian production, which would likely see her singing in Hindi.
