Actor Shia Labeouf has spoken out about his "aggressive" Transformers director Michael Bay, revealing he's a tough guy to work for.
LaBeouf first started working with the demanding movie mogul when he was just 17, and he admits the two men have fallen out while shooting the high-intensity, big-budget Transformers franchise.
Even the music choices the actor makes to get him fired up for high-octane scenes has been an issue on set.
LaBeouf reveals, "He's an aggressive guy, hard to work for. Demanding... These movies are hard to make.
"(One day) we were shooting under a rocket, and it's this big emotional moment for (character) Sam... (and) I have sense memory, so I usually pick songs that make me get to certain places emotionally.
"And Mike's got a whole crew of military crew around him, a lot of Nasa guys, so he's almost performing for the crew, in a way, as the director. So I put my song on... and the song for me, that gets me there... was a Feist song called Brandy Alexander, which isn't necessarily what Mike wants to perpetuate on his set.
"So, you know, he takes my iPod out and he puts the Batman symphonic orchestral, like the general charge, music, which doesn't necessarily bode well for me emotionally. So, then you got to have a conversation, like, 'Mike, can you please play my Feist song?'
However, despite butting heads every now and then, LaBeouf has nothing but respect for Bay: “He's an incredible dude."
