Music mogul Russell Simmons was left fuming following a recent party at his home after one of his guests destroyed a work of art after mistaking it for a chalkboard.
The hip-hop star's prized piece, a chalk drawing by renowned artist Gary Simmons, was partially erased by a clueless partygoer at an event at his New York City property two weeks ago.
Simmons has now installed ropes and stanchions around the art collection, which includes works by Andy Warhol, to prevent any more guests coming into contact with the pieces, according to the New York Daily News. He is also said to be in negotiations with the artist to restore the chalk drawing.
