Legendary folk-rockers SIMON & GARFUNKEL have postponed five Canadian dates on their tour after Art Garfunkel suffered a vocal strain.
The Bridge Over Troubled Water singers kicked off their trek across North America with a headlining spot at New Orleans' Jazz & Heritage Festival in Louisiana at the weekend (24Apr10).
They were due to play in Vancouver on Thursday (29Apr10) and follow up the gig with a string of shows in Canada in the following week.
But they've been forced to push back the Vancouver date, as well as concerts in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg, on doctor's orders.
A statement from promoters Live Nation reads, "In an effort to provide the highest quality performance for their audience, Paul and Art decided it would be best to move the scheduled concert dates.
"The dates have been rescheduled to allow for an adequate period of rest and rehabilitation, after which Art is expected to make a complete recovery."
The rescheduled dates will take place in July (10).
