Former Pretty Ricky singer Pleasure P has slammed rumours linking him to a 2006 child molestation case, insisting the allegations are "100 per cent false".
The ex-boyband member, real name Marcus Cooper, became embroiled in accusations he was involved in the molestation of a four-year-old kid earlier this week (ends04Dec09) when alleged court documents about the case were posted on social networking site Twitter.com by a user known as "AGoldsteinGirl".
The blogger, who claimed to be Laura Goldstein, the daughter of Pleasure P's attorney, uploaded copies of the supposed legal files online in a bid to prove his involvement and allege he was found guilty of the crime in a Broward County, Florida court.
But Pleasure P and his legal team have blasted the accusations, branding them "disgusting and vile". The singer has also denied ever employing an attorney with the last name Goldstein.
He says in a statement, "All of the recent rumours and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100 per cent false.
"They are disgusting and vile; and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas."
The Grammy-nominated star went on to denounce the alleged legal papers as fakes and vowed to take action against the accuser when his real lawyers get to the bottom of the scandal, reports AllHipHop.com.
The statement continues: "The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgeries.
"I have never met or known anyone by the name of 'AGoldstein' or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I believe are fictitious names. I have never been represented by an attorney named Goldstein.
"For someone to go to such depths to assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and appropriate action to protect my name and reputation."
