Beatles - Sir George Martin's Noise Struggles At Concert
Beatles producer Sir George Martin struggled to sit through a recent concert, complaining the "enormously loud" sound was dangerous.
The studio mastermind, who suffers ear problems and wears two hearing aids, was the guest of honour at the Brit School for Performing Arts in Croydon, south London last week (ends25Sep11) to open a recording studio named after him.
He also attended a show by music students at the facility, but struggled to cope with the sound levels, according to Britain's Daily Mail.
Martin reportedly told the youngsters, "It was enormously loud. I have a sound app (application) on my phone and it was peaking solidly at 94db (decibels), which is dangerous. You can lose your hearing if you have too much of that. You'll be deaf by 40."
